    Description

    Superb antique Victorian or Edwardian carved shell cameo pendant and/or brooch pin in a 10K gold mount, circa 1890-1910. An expertly hand carved shell cameo depicting Demeter, goddess of the harvest and fertility with a sheaf of wheat in her hair. Stamped 10K on the clasp. Has a hinged swinging bail mounted on the back so can be worn as a pendant or brooch. In good condition with no cracks or chips. Measures approximately 1 7/8" x 1 7/16" overall and weighs 8.9 grams. Would make a lovely addition to your cameo collection!
