    Description

    Antique carved helmet shell cameo....with exquisite hand etched wide mount.  This piece is so much more beautiful in person....almost 3" with ornate etched bale....just less than 2.5" without bale....very large piece....marked 800 silver ...and acid signed on the back of the shell by the master carver. Elegant profile facing left (rare) ...white against taupe background.  Realistic profile.  The spectacular etching on the pierced  mount almost looks like there are marcasite stones...but there are no stones....just beautiful workmanship.  Old C-clasp...excellent condition!
