    Description

For bid is an original circa 1940's souvenir WINE LIST menu card from the restaurant at THE DESERT INN at Palm Springs, California in Riverside County, California.  This is a colorful menu with delightful illustrations on the interior panels of the card:  Wines sold by the glass, 1/2 bottle and by the bottle, also.  Illustrations of chef character and animals gathered around a barrel.  Back panel has a paragraph of information about "Fine American Wines" with a small illustration of vineyards, probably Almaden Vineyards in Santa Clara County, California.
Delightful little menu with a horizontal crease through the whole program.  Printed in multiple colors.  Fun piece of dining history in the early days of Palm Springs, a resort town.
