    High Sierra
is a 1941 heist film and early film noir written by W.R. Burnett and John Huston from the novel by Burnett. The film features Ida Lupino and Humphrey Bogart and was directed by Raoul Walsh with location work shot at Whitney Portal, halfway up Mount Whitney in the Sierra Nevada of California.
The screenplay was co-written by John Huston, Bogart's friend and drinking partner, adapted from the novel by William R. Burnett (also known for, among others,
    Little Caesar
    and
    Scarface
).The film cemented a strong personal and professional connection between Bogart and Huston, and provided the breakthrough in Bogart's career, transforming him from supporting player to leading man.
The film contains extensive location shooting, especially in the climactic final scenes, as the authorities pursue Bogart's character, gangster"Mad Dog" Roy Earle, from Lone Pine up to the foot of the mountain.

    Condition:
Good. Note that this card is completely unrestored and there is not a single piece of tape on either the front or back! There are about 20-21 tiny holes that are not real visible unless you hold car up to light. Great bright colors!
Please note that all of my items are antique or vintage.  Therefore, you should not expect items to have a brand-new look or to be in perfect condition.  Antique items are heirlooms from the past and have rich history.  Part of their beauty is the history behind each of them and the fact that they are living treasures from the past that have managed to survive the test of time.
I try to provide nice large close-up photographs so you can judge the item accordingly.
Take a close look at the pictures, as they are one of the best elements to assess the condition of each item and are part of the description.
