Lot 3 Tintex Powder Red Red 2 Oz Boxes Easy All Purpose Fabric Dye

Description

A Lot of 3 boxes, 2 ounce per box, of Tintex Easy Fabric Dye in the color Red Red.  Distributed by Sara Lee Household and Body Care USA, 2000.
Cardboard boxes may have superficial damage.  Contents are unopened.  The 3 boxes are still wrapped together in the original cellophane.  These dyes are from my personal work kit as a dyer for film and theater.  They have always been stored in a dry place.
This was my favorite shade of Red in my work.  At the time, TIntex was an Australian company and suddenly no one was carrying it.  I had to adjust to another company.  Anyhow, the box date is 2000 but dates like that only mean that is when Sara Lee got the rights of distribution and not the date the dye was packaged.  These boxes are, probably, 2005/6.  Just because it was older didn't mean I wasn't using it at my work.
If you are new to dyeing, understand that the color on the package is not what your fabric will turn into.  Dyeing is a combination of science and magic.  It is affected by the fiber content of the material, the material's original color and how you handle the process.  And, yes, it can be affected by your local  water source.  It can be a lot of fun but it is not always predictable.
All dyes are vintage items and sold...AS IS.  I maintain a smoke-free, pet-free studio and dry studio but things will get musty from the amount of papers and books in some of the rooms.  I attempt to represent my goods as honestly as possible, but sometimes something will get by.  If you have any doubts about an item, E-MAIL ME!  I want to make sure that you will be pleased with your purchase.
