An Opened 1 Lb. jar of RIT Proline Tan #16.  Phoenix Brands, LLC, Indiana, USA.  Date Unknown
Contents are opened.  This jar is from my Ager/Dyer Work Kit.  I do not use the same spoon for multiple jars.  Each jar gets its own spoon, so the colors don’t get mixed.  I store my dyes in a dry environment.
Plastic jar may have superficial damage.  It does have sharpie, and tape. The lid is secured with black electrical tape.  I do not know if the plastic scoop is in there.  Customer Supplies LLC. is a business in Louisiana.
The lid says 2015.  Just because they are older didn't mean I wasn't using them at my work.
The math:  A new, full RIT 1 lb. jar weighs apx. 1 lb., 4 oz.  This jar weighs 1 lb. 2 oz.  That makes this jar 2 oz. short of 1 lb. (16 oz.) of dye, or apx. 14 oz. of Royal Blue Dye.
If you are new to dyeing, understand that the color on the package is not what your fabric will turn into.  Dyeing is a combination of science and magic.  It is affected by the fiber content of the material, the material's original color and how you handle the process.  And, yes, it can be affected by your local water source.  It can be a lot of fun, but it is not always predictable.
All dyes are vintage items and sold...AS IS.  I maintain a smoke-free, pet-free studio and dry studio but things will get musty from the amount of papers and books in some of the rooms.  I attempt to represent my goods as honestly as possible, but sometimes something will get by.  If you have any doubts about an item, E-MAIL ME!  I want to make sure that you will be pleased with your purchase.
